The Little Joy of Being Seen – A Heartfelt Note from an Unknown Writer | A Message to Supporters
It’s me, ManKum.
Today, I’m here to share a little piece of a feeling I call:
“The Little Joy of Being Seen.”
So, I was just going through some old blog posts — and after so many years, I stumbled across a tiny comment on one of my creations. And that little moment… it made me feel so warm. Kind of giggly, honestly.
It might sound silly or small to some, but let me show you from the perspective of an artist — someone who rarely sees their work noticed in the wild.
That small comment wasn’t just a few words. It meant so much more.
To someone who loves to create — who pours their heart into little pieces of art, writing, or ideas — those small, random acts of appreciation hit deeply.
They bring a rush of joy.
A wave of self-confidence.
A quiet reminder that maybe, just maybe, our work is something to someone.
Being an unknown writer or creator often feels like whispering into a vast, empty space, unsure if anyone will ever hear us, feel us, or see things the way we do.
And then, one day… someone does.
They read our words.
They see our art.
They use something we made.
And they feel something — and they say so.
A heart emoji.
A “This really touched me.”
But to us? To those of us creating quietly from the corners of our hearts, it means everything.
It feels giggly.
It feels warm.
It feels like someone reached across the silence and gently said,
“Hey… I get you.”
And that’s not just appreciation —
That’s the connection.
To everyone out there who supports creators — even in the smallest ways — your love fuels something sacred.
It fills us with happiness, gratitude, and a sense of purpose.
It’s more than just kindness. It’s a gift.
So, from the tiny, overflowing hearts of unknown artists and writers everywhere:
Thank you.
Thank you for seeing us.
Thank you for feeling what we create.
Thank you for reminding us that this path, though quiet and unseen, is still meaningful.
We don’t need grand gestures. We don’t need fame.
All we ever really need is a little love — a bit of support from someone who truly feels what we’ve made.
Because we don’t create for numbers.
We create to connect — to show you something from our eyes, from our hearts.
And when you feel it too? That’s everything.
So here’s a big appreciation post for all of you beautiful souls who show support in any form — likes, comments, shares, or even silent reading.
Sometimes we creators find ourselves lost in doubt —
"Is this really what I’m meant to do?"
But then, we get that one message… that one moment of connection… and we remember:
Yes.
Yes, this is exactly what our heart needs to do.
Because the job of a creator is to feel deeply and share it.
And when someone else feels it too?
That’s when it becomes something real.
Something worth it.
To all the little, amazing, beautiful supporters out there —
We see you.
We appreciate you.
And you mean more than you know.
With love,
ManKum
