He actually finds his luck. To know how he finds his luck,  you have to read the story "Luck and the Boy".

Story: "Luck and The Boy"

It is the story of an eight-year-old boy, Bholu. He used to live with his mother and a small sister of 5 years in a small, broken house. The financial conditions of the family were too worst, even they weren't able to have a meal a day sometimes. Bholu’s father passed away 3 years back in a factory accident and now his mother was the only caretaker of the two. She used to work as a maid in others' houses to earn a living, whose pay was little. Normally the money ran out before the end of the month and they even had nothing to complete the meals of the day. The conditions turn more critical when she was not get paid on time.

Bholu understood the situation as he was noticing his mother working day and night still unable to fulfill the requirements, so he took responsibilities on his small shoulders and started to polish shoes, from which he could generate a little money too.

Boy Polishing Shoes- Luck and the Boy

The path at which Bholu used to polish shoes, had a grocer's shop a few steps ahead. Once when Bholu was polishing the shoes of a man, he saw a man at that grocer’s shop dancing with joy and loudly shouting, "Hurrah! I won the lottery"  and the public all around was gazing at him weirdly. The man that was stood nearby Bholu said jealously, "Huh, it was just luck.”

Bholu looked at him and asked, “Sir, what is luck?” The man answered, “Luck, look at that man, he won a lottery of 5 lakhs, only from a ticket of 10 rupees, this is his good luck.” Bholu said, “This is a very good thing, but why are you sad.” The man replied, “I am sad because I also tried many a time but never achieved it, maybe it is my bad luck” and then he went away. Bholu decided that one day he will also win his luck.

In the evening, he earned 40 rupees, packed his things in the bag, and went to the grocer and said, “I want luck.” The grocer laughed and said, “Luck, do you know what is luck? Luck is not for sale, nobody can sell the luck.” Bholu said, “But I saw you giving that man his luck.” The grocer laughed again and said,  "Oh, it was not luck, it was a lottery. Do you want it?” Bholu said, “Yes, I want.” The grocer demanded, “Then give me 10 rupees, I will give you the ticket.” Bholu took out 10 rupees from his pocket and gave it to him and the grocer handed him the ticket, told him to come at the end of the week at 11 am he will announce the winner. Bholu said, " Fine" and moved back home.

Lottery Ticket

Bholu had a smile on his face. When his mother looked at him, she asked, “What happen Bholu?” Bholu said, "Maa, see  today I bought  luck.” When his mother saw the ticket, she scolded him very badly saying, "Mad boy, what you have done, it is only a waste of money and nothing else, you will get nothing from it and we cannot waste money in such a way." Bholu said, “No Maa today I saw a man he won a lottery of 5 lakhs, one day I will also win it. ” Bholu’s mother warns him not to waste money as it is hard to earn and then she gave him food.

The day when the winner is about to announce, Bholu reached 15 minutes before. He was keenly waiting for his name but when the name was announced he became sad as it was not his. He tried many times after that and his mother always used to scold him for doing this but he always used to say, "Maa, don’t worry one day I will also win my luck.” After trying a lot of times, he became sad as he was failing again and again and now he lost his hope.

Once when he was passing by the road on the bank of the river, he found an old man stepping on the moving road, when a car was about to hit him. Bholu immediately rushed to him and draw him back. The old man was shocked, Bholu said, “Uncle, please pay attention while walking on the road.”

Footpath-Luck and the boy

He had a serious wound on his leg. Bholu took his handkerchief and tied it to the man's wound. The old man was looking depressed because of something, he told him that he didn't know how he got that injury. But then the man felt sorry for his carelessness and happy to see his good and caring behavior, he thanked him and asked his name and address. Bholu answered his questions and offered him help to reach his house. The man accepted his offer and then Bholu and the man reached the man's house. Bholu found that he lived in a big, beautiful mansion. He said, "Beautiful uncle, your house is very pretty." The man said, "Yes". Bholu said, "One day I will also have such a house for my family." He left him to his house and returned.

Some days after when Bholu was playing with his sister, the same old man visited his house and enquired, “Is this is Bholu’s house?” His mother came out and said, “Yes, but who are you?”

The old man told her about Bholu’s kindness and said, “Daughter, that day I was very sad because I was unable to think what to do as I lost my son, his wife and my grand-daughter in a car accident. I am a very rich person but now it means nothing to me, what would I do with such a huge wealth. I don’t have any other person so close to me in my family, but when I met your child, Bholu, I am impressed and decided that I will adopt him as my grandson. Daughter, will you give me your son?”

Mother expressed sorrow for the tragedy but was shocked to know that he wanted to adopt her child. She replied, “Sir, I am sorry but he is my only son how could I give him to you.” The old man said, “I am not saying that I will only adopt your son.” Mother looked at him and said, “I am unable to understand.” The old man said, “I want that you all will come with me.” Mother refused him saying that "No sir, we are no one to you and how could I can accept such a big offer, we are very poor please don't play tricks with us."

The old man replied, "Child, I am not playing any tricks with you. I lost my whole family and now I am alone, having no other heir of mine what will I do with this wealth. My life is ending it will be my good luck if I can help someone in any way through my sources in these last days, and you need not think that I am doing any favor on you because after helping me your son has acquired the right of this gift."

Till then Bholu arrived, he looked at the man and said, "Hello uncle, what happens, you are here?" The man replied, "That day looking at my house you wished to have a similar house for you one day. Today, your wish has been accepted by God, look I am here to give what you deserve, can you accept it?" Bholu said, "No uncle, how could I take it?"

The man said, "As a gift from me. That day you gave me a gift by saving my life so today I am giving you a gift by giving what you wanted. You deserve this." The man looked at Bholu's mother and said, "Child, accept this small present because if you accept this I will get a family and you will get your children's future."

Mother said to Bholu, "You always used to say to me that one day you will get your luck, see today you achieved your luck" and she hugged Bholu tightly.

Mother looked at the kind man, she thanked him for this and was wondering on the thought that the luck her son was waiting for, was now with him. Thus, the old man got a lovely family, and Bholu got his luck for which he was waiting for.

The moral of the story is "If you do good to others, you also achieve well in your life." "Luck comes to those who bring luckiness into other's life." Luck is in the hands of those who never leave good values and good wills and always believe that one day they can achieve what they want and stay dedicated to their paths.

I hope "Luck and The Boy" achieved its goal to reach your hearts and convey to you that good things lead to good lucks.
