The Set Of Bangles- A Story of True Love

The Set Of Bangles is the story about a couple who love each other a lot. The husband want to gift his wife a set of bangles but was unable due to their poverty. The story has a beautiful message that tells that a true love can overcome any kind of hurdles and how much powerful it can be. Read the story to explore the love. 

The story is as follows:

It is the story of a couple, a husband and wife, who loved each other very much. Two years were passed since they get married but the love bond between them was still as strong as it was before. They used to live in a small village of Agra. 

They were very poor, Brijmohan, the husband used to work as a small carpenter from which he earn very little and his wife, Seema was a housewife; but instead of this they were happy in their life. The single family of theirs was really very beautiful. They both were orphan as Brijmohan’s parents were passed away when he was seven years old, after that his uncle took cared of him but he also passed away five years ago and Seema’s family was ended in a train accident last year. Brijmohan was a very caring husband who never make her feel the absence of her family, he was always with her in the bad times. 

Seema was a sincere, pretty and understandable lady. As they were very poor Brijmohan was unable to complete the needs of the family, but Seema never minded it. He  sometimes felt upset of not being able to gift her anything but she also never asked for anything to him because she always meant him as the biggest gift of her life. She used to help him whenever she find him in need. Their sweet, small family was really so cute and worthy of praise.

Brijmohan had a dream to take Seema to show the Taj Mahal, as it was the most famous monument of their city. He collected money many a times but then it had to used in some other things like in the repairing of the door or the roof of the house. After a lot of struggle, finally Brijmohan collected the amount to take her to the Taj. He returned home very happily and offered her the trip to Taj. Seema first refused him saying that it will be very costly but after a lot of requests by him she agreed to it.

Next day, they left  by taking a bullock cart for the highway, from where they take a bus and reached the Taj. They visited the Taj and were very happy and amazed to see the beauty of it, as they only heard about the place. When Brijmohan came to know about the history of the monument he get inspired a lot, the symbol of love made by a king for his queen. He also wanted to do something for his wife too but was too happy today to complete at-least one of her wishes. Their faces were glowing with the happiness.

In the evening, after visiting the Taj, they were enjoying the market nearby. It was also a very beautiful place. They saw a lot of beautiful things and materials, and Brijmohan  purchased  earrings for Seema. Her eyes began to glow with happiness on getting the gift from Brijmohan. She immediately wore them. While enjoying the place, Seema’s eyes stops on a beautiful set of glass bangles of rainbow coloured in a jewellery shop. l

She was looking at them with a greedy and innocent eye. Brijmohan was enjoying and showing Seema the kind of things being sold on different shops when he observed that she was gazing at those beautiful bangles. He guessed that Seema want those beautiful bangles, he asked, “Do you want it?”. She said in a shocked way, “What! No I don’t need them, I was just looking them and nothing else. Let’s go.” He knew that she liked the bangles, so he decided to purchase it for her. 

They reached to a food point where he asked Seema to wait for a few seconds and he came out. He then reached to the shop and asked the shopkeeper to show him the set. He looked at the set, it was very pretty; a rainbow coloured set of beautiful golden embroidery on each bangle and the shine was mesmerizing. He asked about the price of bangles. “Only 1000 rupees, sir”, answered the shopkeeper. He searched in his pocket and found only 550 rupees, which were not enough.

He put the box back and came out with a disappointed heart as he wanted to purchase it but was unable. He went to Seema, they ordered tea and some snacks and then they left for the house. Brijmohan was blaming himself, he was thinking that what a helpless and weak person he is, who was unable even to purchase a small gift for his wife. He decided that one day he will definitely gift them to Seema.

He started his work again, this time a little hard to make money for purchasing the bangles. He want to gift it on the anniversary. He worked very hard for it, day and night. One day he get a good order of making a beautiful decorative Almira for which he will be paid a sum of 800 rupees.  He worked on it whole heartily, he made a really very beautiful and decorative Almira. When the customer looked it, he was very impressed to his work and praised him a lot and presented him 1000 rupees as the reward of his hard work, Brijmohan became too much happy to get the money. Only three days were left for the anniversary, he left for the city by telling Seema that he had some work there and will return till night.

When he reached there he found that the set was sold out just a few hours before, on knowing this his heart was broken away. He left the place and reached to a tea stall. He was sited there, thinking about his dream and the effort he has done for achieving it. He was too much disappointed by his failure. He was thinking all this when he saw that a huge crowd was collected near the road, he immediately reached there when he found that a person was lying injured on the road and no one is ready to help him. 

Brijmohan looked at him and found that he was the same man who gifted him 1000 rupees for the Almira. He was shocked, he asked people to help him to take the man to the hospital but no one was ready to help him as they were afraid that it was the matter of police and if they interfered, they may be arrested. When no one is ready to help him, Brijmohan himself  helped him, he asked for the taxi and after a long time a taxi driver agreed for the help. Then he took him to the hospital and admitted him and paid whatever he had. 

The man was saved and was well. When he opened his eyes, he found Brijmohan in front of him, he thanked him for saving his life. Then he told him about the accident. He said that he was going back to his store when suddenly a car came in speed and bumped him. He thanked him a lot for saving his life. He thanked him for saving him as an angle, then he told him, “Do you know the  Almira you made for me was liked by the one of the owner of the furniture shop, who came to purchase a watch from my shop. He was too much impressed by the carpentry and the work done on the Almira that he asked me to sell it for 2000 rupees but I refused him,  he requested me a lot and offers 2500 rupees, I agreed and sold it, and do you know? he even requested me to bring you to his shop as he want to appoint you as a furniture designer in his store, he also gave me his card and asked me to send you to him.” 

Brijmohan became happy to know all this, he thanked him then the man asked him about the reason to visit  the city. Brijmohan shared with him about his will to buy the bangles and how he failed, the man smiled and said, “Do you know you are very lucky because I purchased it for my wife, did you collected my things from the accident place?”.

He said, “Yes, I found this bag.” He gave it to him and then the man took out the beautiful wooden box from his bag, he gives it to Brijmohan and said, “Again you did a very good job and now I am presenting you this set of bangles as a gift for saving my life.” On getting the set of bangles, Brijmohan’s face glows with a big, shiny smile on his face, he hugged him and said, “Thank you so much sir, you are truly an angle for me who completed all my dreams; that time you gave me money when I am in need and this time you presented this set to me, I am glad to you”, he had tears in his eyes.

The man said, “No I am nothing, this is the fruit of your goodness and hard work, you earned it by yourself because you deserve it and one thing more, take this card and meet to the owner tomorrow morning. After that go back to your home and present her two gift, these bangles and your success, she will be too much happy.” Brijmohan was very happy. He said, “yes sir, definitely.”

Next morning, he met to the furniture store’s owner, where he appointed him in his carpentry shop. Then he left the man to his house and left for his village, where he presented the set to his wife and told her about the whole incident and about his new job. Listening this she turned really very happy and said, “I am proud that I have a husband who is the most precious jewel of my life”.
